Graduating J

Had to post this before I head off to rest my weary, aching, gardening muscles... ooh ow! 

I had the pleasure of photographing my cousin's BEAUTIFUL daughter Jillian who is now a High School Graduate or as they say in the US...  a SENIOR. 
I have photographed Jillian a few times already and love it because she is soooooo easy to photograph. 
I'm lovin' editing through all these images, but this one so far is one of my favourites....

Baby H

Baby H is a special little one,  I used to babysit his Mommy... wait, I didn't just say that?!?!
His Mommy is VERY young...
OK, she's not that young...  she has graduated from University with a Nursing degree,  married a charming man a  few years ago,  built a beautiful home with her husband (while being pregnant, not something she recommends) ...  did I get that all right C?  hang on I just have to adjust my hearing aid...

Baby B

Aw Newborn babies.  Every time I hold one my ovaries start to dance and I begin to rock back and forth in rhythm with the music my uterus is making.  I have to remind myself as I'm taking deep breaths filled with the scent of newborn baby , I forget what it is I need to remind myself about and continue to breath and sway and then I hear a small cough in the corner,  the mother, I suppose, waiting patiently for me to put the baby down and begin photographing.  

Baby B was no exception. So small, so deliciously scented, so beautiful...

Yes, I'm sad.  My baby is no longer a baby and that makes me sad, but I can't help feeling excited for him right now and for his future.

My Anna is all girl.  She loves to dress up, she loves makeup, she loves nail polish, she loves pink ...  she is sweet and giggly.  She sings and dances to her own songs.  She skips instead of walks. 
She is my little princess,  I think she is beautiful and I love her lots ♥

Becoming a BarMitsvah Ezra

If you haven't already guessed it BaT Mitsvah is for a girl and BaR Mitsvah is for a boy,  so no it isn't a typo on my part.

Becoming a Bar/BatMitsvah really means becoming a son/daughter of the commandment.

Missing some old Friends

This is BJ - short for Sweet BABY JANE (1989-2005) and Lucy (1996-2009)     I've had BJ since she was a Puppy and we bought Lucy in 2002 after she was retired by a Beagle breeder.  They both were great beagles in their own unique ways.  BJ was happy, and playful and Lucy was sweet, and gentle, a real Mama.  I remember when we brought my son home from the hospital, we put him down on the floor to let Lucy and BJ have a look.  Lucy's motherly instinct took over and she did not hesitate in trying, very gently, to pull Sam to her bed.  Once I explained that he was mine and not hers,  she never tried to take him away again but rather stayed by my side and would not let BJ anywhere near us, the only aggression she ever showed.    I miss my Beagles,  I'm welling up with tears right now...  BJ did not live long after my kids were born but Lucy quickly became their dog and they learned gentleness from her.

I miss my Beagles and one day we will get another dog and it will probably be a Beagle, in the meantime I will NOT watch Pick a Puppy  http://www.facebook.com/CMTPickAPuppy  and I will only visit http://www.beaglepaws.com/adoption.html once a every 3 months... there that should do it right?
We won't have a new family member this year will we?
